Tea is for so much more than sipping!

Look beyond your teacup at these unique ways you can infuse tea into your life!

earl grey cupcakes
Get cooking.
If you've never tried matcha desserts, or Earl Grey cupcakes you are missing out, my friend. Add roughly 1/2 teaspoon of finely ground tea (per 1-1/2 cups of flour) to your favourite cake or cookie recipe and knock everyone's socks off with your creativity!
tea in bath

Draw a bath.
Friends, there are companies charging +$100/jar for tea infused lotions. But you can make yourself a pot of black or green tea and pour it straight into a nice warm bath. Let all those good antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties from tea soak into your skin. Plus, there's that beautiful aroma. Whatever you do, do not add the tea leaves to your bath - that sh*t will clog your drain!

tea in your garden

Help your garden.
At least a handful of customers have told us they use their spent tea leaves in their gardens! There are also oodles of Insta posts from plant lovers who swear by adding tea to topsoil as a fertilizer and soil enricher.

peppermint tea mouthwash

Freshen up your kisser.
The antiseptic and pain relieving properties of peppermint make it a great candidate for an effective and soothing mouthwash. Steep a cup of Pure Peppermint for 15+ minutes. Add 1/4 tsp of sea salt. Swish the warm liquid for about 60 seconds. Save leftovers in your fridge for 48 hours.

tea cocktails

Make a cocktail.
There's an easier way to make cordials and syrups for cocktails than buying fresh herbs - tea! Loose leaf tea gives you access to thousands of flavour profiles not usually encountered at the grocery store. Bonus: tannins in black and green teas add to the dryness and complexity of flavour of your drink. To make a simple syrup, steep your tea for 10+ mins. Then boil it while adding equal parts sugar.

Have fun experimenting with different uses of tea. We'd love to see what you come up with - tag us in your creations on Insta or Facebook
