What are Natural Flavours?

Just about every food item seems to include natural or artificial flavours. Have you ever wondered exactly what that means, and what they are?

  • These are available, but cost is 2x3 times more than Organic Compliant adversely affecting final product costs
  • Flavour profiles are inconsistent due to lack of availability of organic  essential oils (most are not organic!)

*This is a petroleum based ingredient. Although recognized as safe for human consumption, a derivative of propylene glycol is used for de-icing planes prior to take off. YUM!

At The Valley Alchemist Tea Co. we strive to offer only high quality, pure teas in wickedly fun flavours. Once in a rare while, we choose to add small candies or marshmallows to a blend for some festive fun (looking at you, S'mores!), but if you look at the ingredients of some of the biggest tea companies, you will see artificial flavouring, sugar, and corn syrup in every-day blends.

Fine art. A smidge of science. Ancient history. Totally delicious!

🖤  Steep well.
